Neighbourhood Management supported Somerset Wood Recycling as a local social enterprise to apply for the North Somerset Council contract to undertake green and ‘grey’ space maintenance work. This project is an extension of the existing social enterprise, and will create two full time jobs and a number of training and voluntary positions for South Ward residents.
South Ward Neighbourhood Management Board contributed to the cover of development and set-up costs. These include vehicle, tools, equipment, etc.
The Green Team will be responsive to North Somerset Council Streets and Open Spaces, responding to daily tasks arising, eg grass strimming, shrub trimming, waste clearance.
