The St Andrews Parade shopping area on the Bournville has benefited from a revamp which includes painting the shop fronts and maisonettes; new lighting; work on the drains; new paving and planting.
Unique street furniture designed by artist Mike Fletcher has been incorporated in to the design. The bespoke street furniture includes cycle racks and bollards.
Work commenced in August 2008 and was jointly funded by the South Ward Neighbourhood Management Partnership and NS Housing.
Work was completed in December 2008 which culminated in a candlelit procession, tree dedication ceremony and carol service to celebrate the ‘re-opening’ of the parade.
