Millennium Green park was redeveloped with money from the South Ward Neighbourhood Management Partnership and the Town Council. The area has been transformed from a patch of grass with some trees into a large green with new planting and a fantastic new play park.
The park boasts a circular path around the park boundary, an area with teen shelter, basketball hoop and hard standing, new benches and seating plus a newly laid tarmac cycle path running alongside the park.
The new play park has swings, see saw, a spinner bowl for 5-15yr olds, a tick tock and daffodil offering versatile play for 1-3yr olds and a fantastic multi use tower for 4-12 yr olds with netting, slides and fireman’s pole.
The park also benefits from an array of plants, shrubs and trees which are establishing well.
